We read a lot of reviews before deciding to come here, and I am trying to summarize everything that we would have liked to know: - Transport: there is a shuttle to and from the ferry. when we arrived, they were already waiting for us; and they took us back to the ferry an hour before the ferry back to Mersing. Other than that, all transport needs to be arranged by yourself. We never walked into town as you have to go up and down a pretty steep hill and it was very hot; but we took a flyer from a taxi/moped rental guy at the pier when we arrived, who organized a taxi into town for us, and then we rented a scooter for 2 days to move around - Wifi: The wifi (at least where we were in the area behind the main building) was sufficient to watch Netflix and to have work calls. - Activities: As people have mentioned, activities that you book inside the hotel are much more expensive than if you book them in town, but you are paying for convenience. We only booked a snorkling trip with them; and arranged for other activities (scuba diving, scooter) in town - Food: Also as people have mentioned, the food at the restaurant is ok. We ate twice, which both was fine but did not blow our socks off. We often went to a restaurant right in front of the gate - it's right in front of the beach, drinks for 5 MYR and food for 1/3 of the price. Again, if you stay inside, you'll simply pay for the convenience of not having to go anywhere. - Gym: the gym is reasonably equipped, although there are no mirrors and the treadmill was not working when we were there, but plenty of dumbells and machines - Sandflies: The beach is beautiful, but there are loads of sandflies - our legs were bitten! Not the resort's fault of course, that just comes with a natural beach. Just make sure to bring bug spray or tiger balm to treat your bites ;)

What a beautiful resort. Located on a beautiful beach, clear water, a reef with lots of fish (we also saw a turtle) can be seen in the water right next to the beach. Wooden hotel houses located in a beautiful, well-kept, green area, with a view of the sea on one side and the jungle on the other. Our cottage was very comfortable, for four people, with all amenities. Very comfortable beds. WiFi ok. Tasty breakfasts, especially tasty omelets made by one of the gentlemen. It is possible to buy cool trips at the hotel - snorkeling, jungle trekking, etc. Opposite the hotel is the island of Rengis, which you can reach by kayak or boat from the hotel pier. We are delighted with our stay at this hotel and Tioman Island in general. Paradise on earth.

The beach was gorgeous and the water turquoise and clean and clear. We could see fish swimming in the clear waters off the beach. There is a small island near the resort - easily reached by kayak. The snorkeling at the island is wonderful - we saw sea turtles and baby reef sharks! As a family, the double room chalet was perfect - kids in one room, us in the other. Two bathrooms was a bonus. The excursions from the hotel are terrific - we did a private snorkeling tour (6 hours) of nearby reefs, a 4 hour ocean fishing trip, a jungle walk guided by a very knowledgeable local naturalist and a intro to diving 4 hour class. All were well worth it and very reasonably priced.

We booked a garden view room, which was nearby the reception, restaurant and beach area. The room was spacious, but basic. Bed and shower are very good. Breakfast was included, which was a buffet. The resort is very big. Although, there were many bookings, but we did not have the feeling it was crowded. Enough opportunities for watersports (snorkelling/diving) or other options. The resort has a pickup/drop off transportation to the ferry. Restaurant provides good food. The employees were very helpful.

The beach was long, clean and easy access to coral reefs, you just had to swim out and there they were. So good location if you like snorkelling. Pool area was nice as well. The restaurant just outside of the resort had much nicer food than the resort and at better prices. The staff at the resort were all very friendly and eager to help solve any problems that arose.
